This is the 52nd edition of the newsletter that keeps you up to date with the progress of the Germany Beck junction works on the A19 in Fulford.
Work has been progressing to Landings Lane and the A19 this week.
The deep combined sewer diversion in the A19 has been hindered by coming across services along its length but the capping beam and masonry walls to the top of the sheet piled wall have progressed well.
During the next 2 weeks work will continue to Landings Lane and the A19.
The masonry wall will follow the progression of the concrete capping beam enabling the construction of the north bound A19 carriageway to commence.
Landings Lane will be surfaced week commencing 6th June.
Pedestrians will continue to use the new eastern footpath while the western footpath remains closed until the end of the works.
Elsewhere on site we are constructing the first roads into the new residential development following the ongoing drainage installation
During week commencing Monday 4th June, off peak temporary traffic signals will be in use on the A19 to enable us to safely install and connect up new gullies where the new road ties in with the existing road.
Please be assured that the different areas of works will be securely fenced at all times to ensure the safety of the public. We will be receiving deliveries to site this week. Each delivery will be guided into site by one of our employees once traffic and pedestrians are clear from the site entrance. Please be patient if you are held up for a short time whilst these manoeuvres take place. Pedestrians will be given right of way along the footpaths of Fordlands Road but please be aware of deliveries using the entrances to site off Fordlands Road on occasion.
