McLaren contstruction have awarded the groundworks package for the new Debenhams Distribution centre in Selby to Howard Civil Engineering Ltd.

Debenhams is taking a 667,000 sq ft warehouse unit and 12,452 sq ft of office space in the park at Sherburn-in-Elmet, in one of the largest regional industrial property lettings this year. This project also represents McLarens first project in the area and selected Howards due to their locality, experience and expertise in Distribution projects.

The project is a major boost for the local community and is expected to create over 800 jobs.

The overall package for the groundworks, including bulk earthwork disposal, drainage and all external works is in excess of 500k.
