We are a family-owned business, with our most senior director boasting over 48 years of experience in the industry. Our deeply rooted family values are integral to our business ethos, and this is reflected in our relationships with our stakeholders. We feel the wealth of experience earned since our founding in 2003 is key to the success of our business.

OUR HISTORY
HCE Is First Incorporated
We also secure our first significant contract to build a food production facility for Starcross Foods in Uttoxeter.
Howard Plant Hire Is Formed
As our business grows, so do our needs. As a result, we form Howard Plant Hire.
Our Biggest Project Yet
In 2011, we secured our largest contract to date in Aylesbury. Valued at more than £11m, we assisted in the construction of the largest dairy production facility in the UK: Arla Mega Dairy.
Howard Plant Hire Expands
Eight years after it’s inception, Howard Plant Hire became invaluable to us. In line with our continued growth, we acquired a dedicated plant depot and workshop to support our ever-growing fleet.
Growing Our Clientbase
In 2018, we secured our first significant contract, involving taking up the role of principal contractor for the Bradford Council.
Uprooting & Upgrading
We made the move to a bigger and better headquarters in Seacroft, alongside our existing plant depot, where we continue to operate and grow today.
Breaking Records
In 2022, we achieved a turnover of £50m – a record high for us, and a real showcase of how far we’d come in just under two decades.
21 Years In Operation
2024 marked our 21st-anniversary. We couldn’t be prouder of the progress we’ve made in the last two decades, and we’re incredibly excited to see what the future holds.
