Earlier this year, Howard Civil Engineering raised over £2,100 for Mind in Bradford by taking part in the Tough Mudder 5K.
We made the decision to continue our support of Mind in Bradford this Christmas by sponsoring a bauble on their Christmas tree! This sponsorship could fund 12 early intervention therapeutic sessions for people struggling with poor mental health in Bradford.
According to recent statistics, one in four construction workers have considered taking their own life and the suicide rate for construction industry workers is over three times the national average. This is a cause that is very prevalent to our industry, and we are supporting Mind in Bradford and help ensure that no one in Bradford is left alone while struggling with poor mental health.
Lydia Gray, Fundraising and Development Officer at Mind in Bradford, said: “We are so pleased to have the support of Howard Civil Engineering. Winter can be a difficult time for many of us – feelings of loneliness and social isolation are amplified, and finances are often stretched around the Christmas period.
“But thanks to the support of local businesses, we can support more people through these winter pressures – and make a positive difference together.”

Throughout December, Howard Civil Engineering is spreading festive cheer by donating £5,000 to a variety of charities and community groups across Yorkshire! We have chosen 12 different causes to help this festive period and we will be documenting these throughout the month using the hashtag #12DaysOfHCE.
