Following the donation of pitch covers earlier this year, Howard Civil Engineering are proud to continue our support of Keighley Cricket Club with a sponsorship donation of £1,900!
Keighley Cricket Club kindly offered their facilities to Howard Civil Engineering throughout the duration of improvement works along Hard Ings Road, Bradford, and we are thrilled to offer them this sponsorship as a gesture of thanks.
‘Throughout the duration of the Hard Ings Road scheme, we developed a good working relationship with Howard Civil Engineering,’ commented Keighley Cricket Club director Nigel Allsopp (left). ‘We got on well with the team, particularly the site manager Simon [Doling], and the finished product is good.’
‘It’s been a difficult year for the club so this sponsorship will help us keep the club running,’ said chairman Paul Barker (right).

Earlier this year, Howard Civil Engineering donated pitch covers to the club.
Keighley Cricket Club currently run three senior sides, U19s, T20, U17s, U15s, U13s, U11s and U9s cricket. Like many other sporting facilities and clubs, Keighley Cricket Club have been hit hard by the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. Howard Civil Engineering, alongside other businesses local to Hard Ings Road, are hoping to take part in a fundraising cricket match next year to raise money for the club.
Throughout the duration of the scheme on Hard Ings Road we worked hard to establish positive relationships with members of the community, donating over £7,900 to local clubs and charities and contributing over 160 volunteer hours! As part of our £7,900 community engagement initiative, we also sponsored a match for Keighley Cougars Rugby Club and built new playground equipment for nursery pupils at Crossflatts Primary School.
The scheme for Hard Ings Road was developed by the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC). The scheme received investment through the West Yorkshire Plus Transport Fund as part of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Growth Deal – a £1 billion package of government investment to accelerate growth and create jobs across Leeds City Region.
