BACKGROUND
In November 2020, Howard Civil Engineering commenced work on a £2.25m bespoke package on the Rother Living development for our client, Willmott Dixon.
The Rother Living development is a program by Rotherham Council to introduce a mixture houses and apartments for council housing, shared ownership, and affordable sale in Rotherham. The program consists of three sites: Westgate Riverside, Westgate Millfold House, and the former Henley’s Garage site on Wellgate.
Upon completion, these three sites will present 184 new homes covering public realm, apartments, modern ‘back-to-back’ houses, and terraces.
Howard Civil Engineering is delighted to be providing a multi-disciplined civil engineering package on the Westgate Riverside and Westgate Millfold House schemes which will take approximately 63 weeks to deliver.
Rother Living is our fifth project for Willmott Dixon, following the successful delivery of products and services on projects such as Bader Academy in Doncaster and The Futurist in Scarborough.
Willmott Dixon approached Howard Civil Engineering to assist on this project in the early months of 2020, recognising that we could offer a successful multi-disciplined approach which could significantly reduce the number and severity of complications and challenges associated with the various interfaces.
