Howard Civil Engineering is pleased to have secured our highest value contract ever with our new client, Keepmoat Homes.

These Sheffield housing schemes comprise the construction of three new housing developments across the city, which will see us on site for five years in total.

The three sites are:

  • Eclipse (Phase 2) – 210 homes
  • Pennine Village – 101 homes
  • Corker Bottoms – 47 homes

These developments are being delivered by Sheffield Housing Company, a joint venture company established by Sheffield City Council, Keepmoat Homes, and Great Places Housing Group, to regenerate local communities and address the local housing need.

Eclipse

  • Worth £7.8m to Howard Civil Engineering
  • Drainage works to a SUDS pond with 1255m³ capacity
  • 1800m of retaining walls
  • 3300m² of S38 roads and 2500m² of S38 footpaths
  • 12,600m of plot drainage
  • 8500m of service ducting

Pennine Village

  • Worth £6.5m to Howard Civil Engineering
  • £1.1m of earthworks including excavation of 25,600m³ cut and 18,000m³ fill
  • 7500m of plot drainage

Corker Bottoms

  • Worth £2.4m to Howard Civil Engineering
  • 692m of retaining walls across the site to manage with topography challenges
  • 700m² of S38 roads and 500m² of S38 footpaths
  • 1200m of plot drainage
