BACKGROUND

Howard Civil Engineering commenced work on this site in December 2016 after being awarded a contract to undertake the foundations and ground floor slab, stair and lift core, drainage and hard landscaping and street furniture. The last pour to the auditorium floor in July 2017 marked the end of the first phase of our works.

Utilising a proven approach, we adopted a strategy of progressing the site to finished binder course level prior to programmed steel erection date. This was a strategic decision on Howard Civil Engineering’s behalf to successfully remove the need for temporary hardstandings and subsequently offer significant financial savings for BAM.
