Howard Civil Engineering will be supporting Sir Robert McAlpine for the first time on the new state of the art York Sports Village on the Heslington East campus expansion.

The 9m project will feature a competition-standard eight lane 25 metre pool, learner pool, 100 station gym, full size 3G astroturf pitch and three further five-a-side pitches. The project is a joint venture with the University contributing 5m and the Council contributing 3m, with the remainder being allocated through sporting grants.

Howard Civil Engineering took time time out of their busy schedule to support Wates Construction in a Kirklees Council community initiative.

Howard Civil Engineering provided resources, plant and equipment to undertake the work in the local community improvement initiative undertaken by Kirklees Social Housing Framework.

Howards will be supporting Wates in the remainder of the framework which involves the construction of social housing and local amenities in the Kirklees area.

Howards are delighted to announce that two of two employees, Thomas Barrett and Chris Foote have successfully completed their Diploma’s in Construction Management. Despite working on a full time basis both Thomas and Chris completed their courses within two years attending college two nights a week and spending many more hours on coursework. Congratulations to both!
