Following the successful completion of the Goldman Sachs Small Business Award, Michael has been accepted to join the High Growth Business Programme at Oxford University. The first course has been invaluable to Howards continued growth and success and we are confident the following courses will continue to support our business objectives.
Earlier this month HCE were successful in securing Achilles Accreditation. This latest accreditation will help HCE increase their client base as it is recognised across the industry and will enable HCE to further enhance its database of clients.
Recognising the importance of Health and Safety within the Construction Industry, HCE are proud to announce the commencement of their Bi-annual SHEQ event. The event involves all Management and Engineers to review current performance and plans with a view to constantly improving Company performance.
Due to continued year on year growth over the past 10 years Howard’s have bought new premises to accommodate the ever expanding team of management and administration. The new offices will represent their fourth move in 10 years and can accommodate over 30 office staff. The new offices are located in Killingbeck, Leeds.
Howards have set up a Sufacing division to complement its traditional Civil Engineering Business. Due to continued growth Howards have set up the division to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. The surafcing division will support Howard Civil Engineering when appropriate but also operate in it’s own entity. Michael Howard MD said “Setting up a Surfacing Division was the logical next step. We have enjoyed tremendous growth over the past 10 years and felt that, with increasing number of large scale projects it is becoming more important to be more in control of areas we have traditionally sub let”
Howards have been awarded the groundworks package for the initial phase of the redevelopment of The Department of Chemistry.
This initial phase will cost 6.5million, although the University will eventually spend 16.5million on the redevelopment which will provide students with state of the art facilities. The works will double the size of the Dorothy Hodgkin Research Building.
