During the last 2 weeks we have completed the deep drainage diversion on the boundary of the development site. We are now reinstating the edge of the footpath above it.
We have completed the excavation for the new entrance into site and have commenced carriageway construction by placing and compacting stone in the base.
We have been excavating for the new footpath alongside the temporary footpath on Bochum Parkway and have continued excavating for the new carriageway lane around the Meadowhead Roundabout.
The installation and diversion of new services for the retail park continue within the footpath of Dyche Lane.
Retail Park entrance We will be installing ducts for services and commence the kerbs to form the edge of the carriageway. Footpath construction along Bochum Parkway will continue.
Meadowhead Roundabout Works to widen the existing carriageway around the roundabout will continue this Sunday and following Sundays
Norton Lane adjacent to Meadowhead Roundabout. As part of the widening of the carriageway around Meadowhead Roundabout we will be altering the kerbline alignment adjacent to the western access into Norton Lane. The work involved to install additional drainage and carry out carriageway reconstruction requires us to temporarily close the western access into Norton Lane from Bochum Parkway. This access will be closed for the next few months.

Closure of the western access to Norton Lane off Bochum Parkway.
This access will be closed full time for the next few months. Vehicular access to Norton Lane can by made by using the eastern Norton Lane access off Bochum Parkway. We appreciate that this will cause some inconvenience to those living on Norton Lane. Access to the pedestrian crossing adjacent to Meadowhead Roundabout will be maintained.
Bochum Parkway
Towards the end of next week a lane closure will be in operation for a few hours one evening after 7pm on Bochum Parkway eastbound adjacent to Meadowhead roundabout. This is to enable us to trim back some branches in order to install a drainage connection.
Sunday lane closures on Meadowhead Roundabout and the approaches to Meadowhead Roundabout
On Sunday 25th June and Sunday 2nd July there will be lane closures in place in the vicinity of the roundabout. This is to enable works adjacent to the live carriageway to be carried out safely. This is likely to impact the traffic using Bochum Parkway and the surrounding areas. All pedestrian crossings will operate as normal.
We acknowledge that construction sites can be attractive places for children. Please be assured that once underway, the different areas of works will be securely fenced at all times to ensure the safety of the public. Deep excavations within our works, for drainage for example, will have further fencing erected around them
Please be aware of slow moving plant and wagons making deliveries and accessing different areas of the site from the live carriageway.
Please be mindful of the speed limit of 40 mph when driving through the works.
