Penny Pot Lane Newsletter 14

18 September 2020

Newsletter 14  First published Friday 18th September

Welcome to newsletter number 14 providing you with information regarding the roadworks to Penny Pot Lane for Persimmon Homes.

Progress, the past few weeks

We are pleased to say the reinstatement of the surface water outfall drainage trench is now 95% complete. All streetlights and signs are now in place and will be made live on Monday 21st September.

The next two weeks

Over the next two weeks, we will be wrapping up outstanding work, such as snagging kerbs and edgings and installing the tarmac wearing course to the footpaths along Penny Pot Lane on Saturday 26th September and Monday 28th September. We will also be installing sandbag headwalls to the realigned dyke.

Traffic Management plans

Please note three-way traffic lights will be in place from the roundabout to Young's Drive commencing Saturday 26th September until the evening of Monday 28th September as we install the tarmic wearing course to the footpaths along Penny Pot Lane.

We would like to politely remind everyone that the speed limit within the traffic scheme is 30mph.

A small number of cars passing our work area have been exceeding the speed limit. This is dangerous for our team on site and members of the public within the vicinity. Your compliance with the speed limit is greatly appreciated.

If you have queries regarding these works please email yrks.construction@persimmonhomes.com
