Dear Resident/Local Business/Service provider
You may be aware of the upcoming works to widen Hard Ings Road and make adjustments to Beechcliffe Roundabout and the A629 approach, to improve general traffic congestion in the area.
As you will appreciate this is a complex scheme due to the close proximity of businesses, residents and service providers to the works.
Howard Civil Engineering Ltd of Leeds have been appointed to carry out the road works which are due to commence on the 7th May 2019. They will last approximatley 1 year.
In order to keep you fully updated with the works and how it might affect you I would like to encourage you to sign up for our regular Hard Ings Improvement Newsletter.
The newsletters will be published every fortnight and will provide you with information about the on-going works, highlighting periods of potential traffic disruption in order that you can plan your daily journeys or advise your suppliers/customers of such.
In order for us to carry out the works whilst ensuring the utmost safety for both the general public and our workforce, lane closures will be used on Hard Ings Road with periods of additional traffic control on Sundays and potentially at night.
To ensure the safety of the public there will also be periods when footpaths are diverted around sections of the works. Clearly sign posted diversion routes will be put in place.
More details of each activity will be published ahead of time in the newsletters we are encouraging you to sign up to.

Alternatively forward your email address to email@example.com and I will add you to the list.
Individual concerns regarding the road works can also be forwarded to me using the above email address.
Businesses on Hard Ings Road will be contacted on an individual basis for discussion regarding how we can work together to cause you the least disruption.
