Germany Beck Newsletter 39

17 November 2017

Weeks 76 & 77 commencing Monday 20th November 2017

This is the 39th edition of the newsletter that keeps you up to date with the progress of the Germany Beck junction works on the A19 in Fulford.
During the past two weeks we have laid surfacing to the spine road towards the new residential development and also extended the surfacing towards the A19. The footpaths around Fordlands Road have also been surfaced and the Fordlands Road ramp brought up to its final gradient. Pedestrians using Fordlands Road have now been diverted onto the new footpaths. The final top layer of surfacing to all roads and footpaths will not be laid until the completion of the junction works.
We have commenced the work to construct the public parking area for people visiting the nature reserve.
The brick boundary retaining walls adjacent to the A19 continue.
We have been back working in the flood alleviation area constructing the public footpaths.
The gas diversion in the A19 is finally complete

During the next 2 weeks we will be -
• Continuing the brickwork boundary walls adjacent to the A19
• Constructing footpaths on the spine road to the east of Fordlands Road
• Continuing the public footpaths within the flood alleviation area
• Continuing the public parking area within Permission's development area.
• Installing gullies adjacent to the A19
The closure of the eastern footpath on the A19 remains in place.
There will be no temporary traffic lights on the A19 over the new 2 weeks.

Safety for children and the wider public.

Please be assured that the different areas of works will be securely fenced at all times to ensure the safety of the public.
We will be receiving deliveries to site this week. Each delivery will be guided into site by one of our employees once traffic and pedestrians are clear from the site entrance. Please be patient if you are held up for a short time whilst these manoeuvres take place.
Pedestrians will be given right of way along the footpaths of Fordlands Road but please be aware of deliveries using the entrances to site off Fordlands Road on occasion.
