Howard Civil Engineering are pleased to be working with a new client, Broadley Group, to deliver the groundworks and elevated concrete slab for a new 97 luxury apartment building providing visitors to York. The apartments will provide visitors with the comfort of a boutique hotel with the convenience of a serviced apartment. The new development is located on a unique waterfront location on the famous River Ouse in York.
The build is within the River's flood plain. To remedy this the timber frame 4 storey building will be set upon a concrete slab elevated above ground level on short columns founded on pile caps, the space beneath serving as a floodable undercroft car park.
A new flood wall at the rear the car park will improve flooding protection to the properties behind.
The serviced apartments will open its doos to guests in 2019.
