As part of Accents ongoing commitment to deliver state of the art community health care facilities (PCT) around Bradford, a new community hospital with multiple GP practises, dentistry and pharmacy facilities was proposed for a sloping piece of land in Manningham. This entailed a £10 million development which was undertaken by Carillion through a partnership process with Accent.
Howard’s were invited to tender the significant infra-structure, groundwork’s and RC works. Through its contours the site provided many level issues and retaining dilemmas but also being a brown field site, conditions for foundations were varied and challenging. Having demonstrated a knowledge and understanding for the extent of the work Howard Civil Engineering Ltd were able to provide a competitive quotation for the works.
The works extended to Traffic Management, Section 278 works including construction of new site entrance, road re-allignment, macadam and white lining, construction of all new highways & car parks, construction of all retaining structures including RC walls and gabion walls, extensive paths and feature paving, comprehensive drainage network including large diameter storage tanks, petrol interceptors and many kilometres of ducting and trenching to facilitate services.
