Background

Logic Leeds is the largest ever warehouse development in Leeds (361,000 sq ft distribution unit) and was completed in January 2019. The main contractor was Derbyshire-based Bowmer + Kirkland.

The warehouse is is strategically located at the new gateway to Leeds, just half a mile west of Junction 45 of the M1. It is just one-and-a-half miles east of Leeds city centre and adjacent to the route of the East Leeds Link Road. Access is directly off the new Bellwood roundabout. The site has planning consent for a variety of uses including warehouse and distribution, industrial and supporting services. The consent allows for a total of 1.6 million sq.ft. which was built specifically to the occupiers’ requirements.
 
Howard Civil Engineering were awarded the groundworks package which commenced in January 2018. The poor weather threw an additional challenge to the team who ultimately demobilised to remobilise in May 2018.
