Running concurrently with the final phase of the S278 works for Persimmon Homes at this site, Howard Civil Engineering have been awarded the first phase for the provision of infrastructure for the 600-unit residential site.
The works include challenging deep large diameter attenuation drainage and a 5m deep existing combined sewer diversion in ground with running sands and a high water table requiring system dewatering. A precast sectional tank attenuation and the construction of roads to binder course to enable Persimmon access to commence plot building is included in this first phase.
The site remains extremely sensitive to many environmental and ecological issues with substantial interest from various stakeholders.
